Change Log for October 2013

The following changes or updates were applied to OpenSRS Services in the month of October, 2013:

Domain Service:

  • ccTLDs: .ES transfers no longer add an additional year to a domain name
  • ccTLDs: .DE now requires a registrant type of Individual or Organization
  • ccTLDs: .DE registrations and renewals are limited to 1 year
  • ccTLDs: .DE domains can only be set to auto renew. Resellers wishing to cancel a .DE domain must complete this form and send to support at least 5 days prior to expiry. 
  • ccTLDs: .DK now requires a registrant type of individual or organization
  • ccTLDs: .DK now requires a VAT ID if registrant type is organization
  • ccTLDs: .DK trades will incur a fee, but do not add an additional year
  • ccTLDs: .DK registrations and renewals are limited to 1 year
  • ccTLDs: .CO IDN's are now supported for Russian, German, French, Portuguese, Polish, Latvian, Lithuanian, Hungarian, Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Icelandic, Danish, Finnish, Swedish, Norwegian and Spanish
  • ccTLDs: Added support for 1 year .TO registrations
  • ccTLDs: .IT domain names no longer have a 60 day transfer out hold

OpenSRS Email Service

  • Webmail:
    • Fixed an issue where an email address ending in .travel was not allowed
    • Fixed an issue that prevented new calendar events if logged in with the domain-alias account
    • Fixed an issue where spacing was stripped from a message
    • Various fixes for parsing mailto: links 
    • Allow/block lists now accept full email addresses
    • Various IE 8/9/10 bugs fixed
    • Fixed an issue that prevented some messages from being translated in the basic interface
    • Fixed an issue that caused the back button in IE10 to no longer load emails
    • Additional bug fixes

Tools/API

  • WHMCS plugins are no longer in beta

A quick note about this Change Log:

Other bug fixes, and updates to OpenSRS systems that aren't noticeable to resellers are promoted on a weekly basis. This may include updates to support changes made by registries, or other suppliers to their systems. We're always working to improve performance and stability of our systems.
