goMobi version 1.7 was released on Monday, September 17 to all goMobi users. Below you'll find a quick overview of some of the new features and enhancements that are part of this release.

Control Panel enhancements

A 'view site' option has been included in the header which will open the mobile site in a new browser window and the language options are now contained in a drop down list [with the addition of British English].

goMobi has added a new Tools tab between the Features and Analytics tabs which contains marketing features and functions to help promote and drive traffic to the site. Also new is some additional design features such as 'Site footer' and an 'Advanced' feature where you can apply background images to your site.

Last but not least, improvements were made to the help page and added 'how to' video content to help explain some of the feature functionality.

Additional site templates

Screen Shot of a new goMobi siteCreating goMobi sites has never been easier. They've added over 32 new 'click and go' templates to the Templates feature in the design area of the Control Panel. Just click on the thumbnail template for a larger view and then apply the one you want to your site.

Changes to colours, images and the layout of each template are automatically applied to the site. You can also mix and match different template headers and body styles and icon sets to create custom templates and you can customize the colors in the Site Colors feature.

Multiple click to call features

Extend your reach by adding multiple click to call features to your mobile site and display each one as a separate feature with custom name, custom icon and custom position. Additional options include defining which number to use as your primary number to display in the header and footer of your site.

Background Images

You can now apply a background image to your site. You decide if you want to apply it to all of the pages of your site or just the home page, where you want the content to start on your page and if you want to display the background image on tablet devices [animated images supported]
